My paintings begin with living systems — cells, synapses, coral, roots, forests and the strange branching structures that seem to repeat across nature at completely different scales.
I use vivid acrylic, fluorescent and iridescent pigments, copper and layered surfaces to explore resilience, protection, connection and change. Some works begin with scientific imagery, others with an emotion, a landscape or something I simply can’t stop thinking about. They often meet somewhere in between.
I’m interested in what keeps living things going: how we adapt, repair, communicate and grow — and in finding moments of colour & optimism even within more fragile subjects.
